Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers, taken from how the program works.

What is The Last Date?

An independent matchmaking project. Instead of browsing profiles, you receive exactly one blind introduction a month, chosen by a matching model built on data a bio and photos can't capture — voice, scent, DNA, handwriting, palate and more.

Does it cost anything?

Participation and program materials are provided free of charge. There are no ads, ever.

How many matches will I get?

One a month. You keep receiving matches until one of two things happens: you get married, or you tell us to stop.

What's in the kit?

Swabs, sample vials, a voice prompt, and instructions. The full list of the thirteen inputs is on the How it works page.

Will other daters see my photo or samples?

No. Every sample is collected once, used only for matching, and never shown to another dater. Your match sees your face when you choose to meet them — nothing before that.

Can I match within my religion?

Yes. Religious preference is set entirely by you. We match within your stated preference, or across none at all, exactly as you tell us to.

Why do you ask married couples to join?

Married couples volunteer their data so the algorithm has real, verified compatibility to learn from.

How do you verify a married couple?

You and your spouse each submit the couple form on your own, separately, with your wedding date and each other's full name. No certificates, no notarization — we activate a couple's file once both independent submissions agree. If they don't match, we reach out before anything is used.

Do you read my social media?

Only with your consent. If you consent, we read your public social activity and your music playlists to model taste, humor and rhythm.

Who can apply?

Adults 18 and over (the application asks for your age).

What happens to my data, and can I have it deleted?

See our Privacy & data-handling policy. You can ask us to stop at any time and to delete what we hold by writing to us through the contact form.

How do I reach a person?

Use the contact form. We keep the inbox behind this project private; a real person will read your note and write back.
